Day 0: Arrival and Welcome Dinner

Our beloved guests arrive at Dabolim Airport, travel and check into their accomodation. We will start off with a Goan welcome followed by dinner at Johncys.

(One of our favourite places where our love for chilli chicken and stuffed mushrooms began. And where we celebrated our engagement!)

Day 1, Part 1: Spice Farm Visit

22nd of April
10:00 (TBC)

We will be visiting the Sahakari Spice Farm in Ponda, Goa, to tour the plantation and learn about spice plants like cloves, cardomom and cashews. Our visit end with an authentic Goan lunch at their in house restuarant followed by a feni (local goan cashew liquor) "rocket fuel" tasting.

Day 1, Part 2: Roce Ceremony

22nd of April
19:30 (TBC)

Our Goan Ros ceremony is traditionally held in the late evening. We will have some tribal folk dancers and a local band. The bridal party is “anointed” with coconut oil and milk and eggs after which things start to get ..creative. The event will finish with a dinner and end with traditional Goan folk songs (usually led by Nicole´s dad, Tomas)

Day 2: Mehendi, Pani puri and Carom

Starting of the festivities with a colourful and intimate mehendi ceremony for the bride and guests (and the groom if he wants to partake). We’re gonna have unlimited Pani Puri, snacks, music and games!

Day 3, Part 1: Church Ceremony

At Navelim Parish Church, Navelim, South Goa.

Not an LOTR remake. This Goan practice takes place the day after the wedding when the newlyweds return to the house of the bride as a married couple.

The weather conditions are hot and humid, so please take light, breathable clothing and also mosquito repellent. Please avoid heavy dresses, layers, jackets, coats. We want you to enjoy and be sweatless.

Travel Advice - Flight Routes & Airlines

  • Qatar Airways: Major cities in Europe (London, Paris, Frankfurt, etc.) to Doha, then onward to Goa, Dabolim.
  • Emirates: Major European cities (London, Manchester, Paris, Frankfurt, etc.) to Dubai, then onward to Goa, Dabolim Airport.
  • Etihad Airways: European cities (London, Paris, Frankfurt) to Abu Dhabi, then onward to Goa.
  • Lufthansa: European cities (Frankfurt, Munich) to Mumbai or Delhi, connecting to Goa via Air India or other domestic carriers.
  • Turkish Airlines: Major European cities (London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt) to Istanbul, connecting to Mumbai or Delhi, and then to Goa, Dabolim Airport.

Key Hubs for Transfers

  • Mumbai (BOM): Closest major international airport to Goa with frequent domestic flights.
  • Delhi (DEL): Another major hub with numerous connecting flights to Goa.
  • Doha (DOH), Dubai (DXB), Abu Dhabi (AUH): Key layover points for travelers from Europe to Goa.

From Indian hubs like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, domestic airlines like IndiGo, SpiceJet, AirAsia India, and Vistara offer multiple daily flights to Goa, usually lasting 1-2 hours.
